The bike was new into Australia in 1996 and had its first 1000 kilometer service in August 1998. I have just put it through it's 6000 kilometer service (June 2002). It appears to have spent the last four years sitting virtually idle but there will be little chance of that with me. What a piece of machinery this is. I love it. I will be customizing it but the Australian Yamaha after market is so expensive that a sissy bar and bracket, for example, will cost about 10% of the bike's value. Ouch! Cheers..."
