As mentioned earlier, the popups were pretty cramped. This "tent trailer" is quite spacious, and will sleep an adult couple and two rugrats comfortably. I got it used from an older couple who did just that when taking their grandkids out to camp. There's an internal divider that closes for privacy. Here's a peek at the full sized bed ... that occupies the entire lower half of the trailer box, and has a thick foam mattress with air support. Real bonus is that it's raised off the floor for easy access for us older folk.

Pretty slick. And you can see the center section is very roomy. Comfort is as comfort does, but a couple nice folding chairs and footstools as well as a table are perfect for sitting back in the rain or late night before tucking in. All that can be hauled outside easily when needed. The "kitchen" isn't much, but handles the basics if there's electric available. Hard to tell in the pic, but there's plenty clearance between the tent fabric and the hot stuff. I do most of my cooking outdoors on a two burner propane stove anyway, so that's just more or less a foul weather option for a quick breakfast or can of soup or stew.

Which brings up one OOpsie moment. I managed to knock my head on the spreader bar that crosses the top of the doorway a couple times and added the foam padding. Still bump my head, but it doesn't hurt as much. When it all went wrong was storing the tent with the pad in place. Next time I went to open it, the pad got caught on another part of the frame and managed to put a slight tear on the canvas. Took some head scratching to figure out what had gone wrong. Not a big issue, fixed easily with some fishing line and an upholstery needle. Just have to remember to remove the pad as part of the teardown process.
